Best new electrical product, industrial: T&B Helix excels at MCEE 2015
By Anthony Capkun
“The Helix fitting was developed specifically for use in confined areas,” said Claudine Cromp, director of marketing for Thomas & Betts Canada. “It allows installers to transition from horizontal to vertical cable tray in less time while using significantly less space. Installers can now secure and organize cable runs without needing to position the cable tray assembly to make room for transitional fittings.”

The Helix fitting is available in left or right configurations in aluminum, pre-galvanized steel and stainless steel, in 12-in. and 24-in. widths, with 6-in. side rails. Manufactured at the company’s Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu (Iberville) plant, the fitting is shipped pre-assembled and ready to install.
