September 2, 2016 – Porter Cable has launched its 20V Max lithium-ion brushless drill/driver (PCCK607LBLW) and 20V max lithium-ion brushless impact driver (PCCK647LBLW), which are both part of the new Brushless Edge family of tools.

The PCCK607LBLW boasts more runtime, Porter Cable claims, as well as 20% more power and improved bit retention compared to the prior model. Its 1.5Ah battery delivers up to 370 max watts out (MWO) and a two-speed gear transmission delivers 0-450 RPM in low-speed for high-torque applications and 0-1800 RPM in high-speed. It’s 7.4 in. in length and weighs only 3.3 lb with its battery.

Meanwhile, the company says the PCCK647LBLW also features more runtime and shorter tool length compared to its predecessor. The brushless motor and transmission generate 1400 in.-pounds of maximum torque for large fasteners and the variable speed trigger delivers 0-2700 RPM. The impact driver is equipped with a 1/4-in. quick chuck and is 5.8 in.in length, weighing 2.9 lb.

The products will be at Lowe’s and independent retailers in November 2016.
