Aug. 1, 2019 – Spark Power Group in Oakville, Ont., which provides energy services to industrial, commercial, institutional and utility customers across North America, has acquired 3-Phase Electrical, a low-voltage (LV) electrical service and contracting firm in Winnipeg.

Undertaken by way of a share price agreement (SPA), the acquisition expands Spark Power’s Western Canadian footprint with 3-Phase as a wholly owned subsidiary, operating within its technical services group.

3-Phase’s founders—John Gigliotti, Brent Prusak, and Vince Audino—say they plan to use Spark Power’s platform to accelerate growth beyond their local market and deliver a more comprehensive, integrated suite of services to their long-standing customers. So far, the company has specialized in medium- to large-scale electrical installations in the commercial and industrial sectors.

In the near term, 3-Phase will continue to operate under its brand name and the management team will become key members of Spark Power. While the terms of the deal are confidential, the acquisition is expected to be immediately accretive to earnings.
