June 14, 2023 – Despite a threatening sky—and subsequent rainstorm—Ideal Industries Inc. celebrated the 60th anniversary of its Canadian operations (Ajax, Ont.). Congratulations!
Safe from the elements under a tent, Canadian team members heard from their general manager, Dag Nyhof, who thanked them and said, “Together, we’re going to do great things for the next 60 years!”.

Ideal Industries Inc. is in its fifth generation of family ownership. It was founded 107 years ago by the great-grandfather of current board chair, Meghan Juday, who also addressed the Canadian team.
When speaking to those assembled, Ideal Industries Inc.’s CEO, Steve Henn, reiterated that the company is committed to the future. He pointed to Ideal’s positioning in industries that will last another 100 years, and a portfolio of solutions that will help the company succeed in both good times and bad.
A special nod was given to Rod Mood, currently the longest-serving Ideal Canada employee at 39 years.
During the celebration, Ideal Canada again hosted a Support Ontario Youth boot camp, where interested jobseekers got a hands-on feel for the work of Electrician, with the aim of converting that interest into apprenticeship.
