CSA Group appoints Nashir Jiwani as vice president-Canada

April 9, 2012 – Ash Sahi, president and CEO of CSA Group, has appointed Nashir Jiwani to the position of vice-president, Canada. Jiwani is responsible for “accelerating the growth of testing and certification services and offerings in Canada, as well as ensuring the provision of global services to all Canadian clients”.

“Nashir is an accomplished senior leader with extensive experience in business and manufacturing, and with a proven track record of successful implementation of efficiency improvement methodologies and lean manufacturing principles,” said Sahi. “His wide-ranging international experience in strategic planning, supply chain, finance, project management, construction management, sales and marketing, engineering and design will be invaluable assets to CSA Group as it continues to expand operations in Canada and globally.”

Prior to joining CSA Group, Jiwani served as COO at Aliya’s Foods Ltd. (Edmonton, Alta.). Other career positions included VP operations, Hartmann North America; business director, Dupont Liquid Packaging Systems (Savli, India); as well as various management positions with Dupont Canada Inc. (Whitby, Ont.).

Jiwani holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from McGill University and an MBA from York University, as well as a Six Sigma green belt and various other business and executive management programs.
