June 14, 2011 – Motorola Mobility’s passive optical LAN (POL) solution is now available through AMT (Advanced Media Technologies)’s Canadian partner, CTAR Corporation. According to the companies, POL provides a high-performance, reliable and secure enterprise network for IP voice, data and video, and can replace existing LAN connections with a single high capacity fiber optic cable designed to connect the end user directly to the data centre. They describe the solution has being ideal for enterprise and campus environments where large corporate users and customers require large amounts of bandwidth.
