DeWalt Canada supports Canadas fallen heroes

March 6, 2010 | By Anthony Capkun

DeWalt Canada will donate up to $50,000 to the FALLEN HEROES MEMORIAL FUND which provides grants to the families of Canadian soldiers lost in military operations.

“There is a real need for people to show their support to the families
of the fallen, and to honour their ultimate sacrifice in the name of
peace,” said Lisa Twomey, founder of Fallen Heroes Memorial Fund. “We
are excited to have DeWalt onboard as our first national level sponsor.
The company’s financial commitment to the fund will help ensure that
families of lost soldiers are able to commemorate their sacrifice.”

The grants to the families of Canadian soldiers lost during military
operations may fund a physical memorial, or be used as a donation in
their memory to a favourite charity.

“We feel it is important to recognize the sacrifices these proud men and
women make for our country,” said Paul Huffman, national manager for
DeWalt Canada. “The Fallen Heroes Memorial Fund is a great charity that
helps to ensure we don’t forget what these heroes did for our country,
and DeWalt is proud to support such a cause.”
