EFC to award over $140,000 in funding through 2020 Scholarship Program

Electro-Federation Canada (EFC) has announced its 2020 Scholarship Program, which will provide funding to support university and college students interested in pursuing a career within the electrical industry.

EFC will be awarding over $140,000 across 55 scholarships supported by many leading Canadian manufacturers and distributors. Students pursuing a career in electrical engineering, electrical technologist/technician, industrial distribution, sales, marketing, finance, human resources, supply chain operations, logistics, data analytics management or information technology may apply for funding.

According to John Jefkins, VP member engagement and corporate partnerships at EFC, the scholarship provides students the ability to engage with EFC member companies, which may lead to employment and career opportunities.

“The electrical industry offers strong career development opportunities, competitive salaries and benefits, plus aggressive careers paths in a sector with cutting-edge innovation. Career opportunities span such areas as: engineering, sales, marketing, finance, management, operations, information technology and human resources,” he said.

Scholarship applications are now open. The deadline to apply is May 31, 2020.
