July 18, 2016 – Electro-Federation Canada announced on Friday it has selected Habitat (for Humanity) Canada as its official charity of choice.

Habitat Canada is a natural fit for EFC,” said Jim Taggart, EFC’s president & CEO. “Our members manufacture and sell innovative, sustainable and safe electrical products required for new home builds today.”

EFC is a national, not-for-profit association representing over 250 member companies that manufacture, distribute, market and sell a range of electrical products, including distribution equipment, lighting, wire and cable, wiring supplies and electric heating.

“Many of our members are currently long-standing partners of Habitat Canada,” continued Taggart. EFC notes Siemens Canada, Schneider Electric Canada and Standard Products are among several members who are “strong Habitat Canada supporters”.

In addition, EFC reports other member companies not only contribute financially, but also provide product and volunteer support to affiliates across Canada.

“Through this partnership, all members can now participate in this program and help strengthen our industry’s commitment to electrical safety and addressing the issue of affordable housing. EFC hopes to have a lasting impact on the communities in which we work and live.”
