August 10, 2012 – Ideal Supply recently reorganized its senior management team to “position the company for future growth” by appointing John Newman (with glasses) to the newly created executive position of lighting market manager, and Mike Smith to the senior role of Electrical Division sales manager.

Saying that lighting has become one of its most important product groups for future growth, Ideal believes this group required a dedicated focus and strong leadership to drive key business growth initiatives. Newman has been with Ideal for 37 years and has relationships with manufacturers, agents and customers. He will be responsible for cultivating long-term strategic partnerships, increasing market visibility and generating new revenue streams.

Electrical distribution has been Ideal Supply’s business for over 85 years. Smith has been leading Ideal’s Safety Supplies Division since 2010 in addition to managing the company’s sales efforts in clean energy and datacom. He will now lead the Electrical Division’s account managers in business strategy development and drive revenue opportunities.
