Ideal upgrades Tuff-Grip PRO fish tape – August 2010

August 9, 2010 | By Craig Pearson

Ideal Industries, Inc. announced two major upgrades options to its Tuff-Grip PRO fish tape. The first is that the Tuff-Grip PRO is now available with laser-etched versions of Ideal Blued Steel and Stainless Steel tapes, which can be purchased separately or bought pre-installed. The permanent laser etched 1 inch increments on the tape “enable electricians to accurately and instantly measure conduit length, always letting the user know how much tape they have left to pay out,” says Ideal. The measurements are etched so that they will never rub off with wear. The second upgrade is a new vertical grip that “achieves a faster payout and rewind than traditional handle designs” called Speed-Grip, says Ideal. It is engineered to put less strain on the wrist and also has a large hand opening for use with bulky gloves.
