April 16, 2024 – Jim Fonger has joined Rodan Energy Solutions Inc. as president of its wholly owned subsidiary, Rodan Distributed Energy Resources.

“I am thrilled to have Jim join the senior leadership team of Rodan Energy,” said Paul Grod, founder and CEO. “We are especially excited that Jim will be leading Rodan’s new DER development business.”

Fonger possesses two decades of experience in the energy services sector, with a focus on demand-side solutions and the development of battery energy storage and microgrid systems.

“I’ve had the opportunity to lead the development—and ensure the successful operation—of numerous DER projects [and] Rodan Energy has been a key partner in the successful operation of these projects,” said Fonger.

Prior to joining Rodan, he served as vice-president, Asset and Advanced Technology Development, at Ameresco. Fonger also recently served as chair of Energy Storage Canada.

“Building an organization to focus on providing DER solutions to clients in concert with Rodan’s proven leadership in the profitable operations of these systems will bring significant value to Rodan’s customers,” Fonger added. “I’m so glad to be leading this exciting team at Rodan.”
