April 15, 2024 – Rittal’s latest generation of fan-and-filter units promise to enhance operational security for enclosures. The new Blue e+ units feature an emergency cooling function and “innovative, smart climate control features”.

The emergency cooling function actively responds to temperature rises, preventing component overheating and possible costly system shutdowns. They are available in five sizes and eight output classes, covering a range of air throughput needs, and tool-free handling provides for easier mounting and maintenance.

Via an IoT interface, the units enable real-time monitoring of status, capacity utilization, and energy consumption, enhancing operational control.

Additionally, an automatic filter cleaning function extends service life and facilitates maintenance planning, while serial pleated filters increase surface area by six times, boosting air throughput by 40%—doubling or tripling maintenance intervals.
