LonMark International (LMI) signed a marketing agreement with the newly founded NewEnergy Alliance (founded by Constellation Alliance LLC, a subsidiary of Constellation NewEnergy). The alliance aims to forge a new electricity load model that will surpass the current utility-driven, demand-response offering. It also aims to create smarter, more ‘Energy Responsive Buildings’ and provide end users with more control over their energy costs.

“LonMark
sees the formation of the NewEnergy Alliance as a significant
opportunity to include new technologies and emerging practices with the
existing LonMark guidelines and solutions, and to bring the latest
developments, advances, and service offerings to the controls market,”
said LonMark’s executive director, Ron Bernstein.



LonMark
says the NewEnergy Alliance will act as an open forum for exchanging
new ideas, developments and opportunities, which will benefit LonMark’s
members looking to expand participation in demand-response programs
worldwide.
