Megger EVCC300 for checking Level 1 and 2 EV chargers

February 7, 2023 – Megger’s EVCC300 is used for checking the safety and operation of Level 1 and 2 electric vehicle chargers. The tool performs a variety of safety assessments, including checking for hazardous voltages, confirming ground connection, ensuring any exposed metalwork is properly grounded, and timing the device’s tripping speed. The unit can also check whether nuisance tripping is likely to occur.

The EVCC300 also performs several charger operation checks. The device connects to SAE J1772 Type 1 and Type 2 charger connectors only. It has a voltage range of 5V to 300V, frequency range of 45 Hz to 65 Hz, and an operating temperature range from 0 C to 40 C.
