September 16, 2014 – MultiPhy, a high-speed communications semiconductor supplier, has introduced 400Gb/s technology to enable next-generation video streaming, cloud computing and mobile services.

Based on “advanced modulation methods combined with enhanced digital signal processing (DSP)”, MultiPhy says its technology will be the core of network connectivity, significantly reducing the total cost of ownership of 100Gb/s and 400Gb/s connections while setting new benchmarks for performance and power consumption. “As growing capacity requirements demand more deployment of optical communications in data centre applications, the use of advanced DSP technology in order to reach a cost effective and power efficiency solution becomes inevitable,” says Avi Shabtai, CEO.
