New ratings classification for data centre power generation systems from Cummins

December 17, 2012 – Cummins Power Generation Inc. unveiled a new diesel generator power output ratings category for data centre applications: the DCC (data centre continuous) rating offers diesel gensets rated for unlimited hours of operation, with no restrictions on average variable load factor. The DCC ratings span the range of Cummins’s high-horsepower diesel gensets, from 1MW up to 2.5MW, and will apply to both 50Hz and 60Hz configurations.
