In memoriam – Barry MacGowan of Cooper Wiring Devices

November 25, 2014 – Following a courageous battle with cancer, it is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Barry MacGowan of Cooper Wiring Devices. He was 57.

Barry passed away peacefully, with his family by his side, on Saturday, November 22, 2014, at home in Burlington, Ont.

Smith’s Funeral Home, 1167 Guelph Line (one stoplight north of QEW) in Burlington (905-632-3333).

Tuesday, November 25, 2014, from 3 to 5 pm and 7 to 9 pm.


A funeral service will take place on Wednesday, November 26, 2014, at 10:30 am.

He leaves behind wife Cathy (née Best) of 28 years, and children Laura, Jacob and Michael; siblings Ann Wiseberg (Stan), Clark, Bruce (Debbie), John (Ann); Cathy’s parents Rev. Howard and Rhoda Best; and brothers-in-law Steve (Lynn), Peter (Kim), Michael (Leila); and by his extended family and friends.
