June 11, 2014 | By Anthony Capkun

June 11, 2014 – The Hermanville/Clearspring wind development will open its doors to the public on June 19 for an Open House, said Wes Sheridan, Prince Edward Island’s finance, energy and municipal affairs minister.

“The Hermanville/Clearspring development has been meeting all of our expectations since it was commissioned in January, coming in slightly better than its $60-million dollar budget,” said Sheridan. “We want people to see, first-hand, how, with the addition of this wind project, Prince Edward Island is now generating approximately 30% of its electricity from this clean, renewable resource.”

The doors will be open from 4 pm to 7 pm. Guided tours will be available, and everyone is welcome to attend. The site is located at the end of the Souris Line Road before the intersection with Highway 16. The address is 30 Souris Line Road, Route 305, C0B 2B0.
