October 6, 2020 – Ouellet Canada has acquired Britech Corp., a Canadian manufacturer and supplier of electric radiant heating systems.

“I could not have found a nicer group of people to work with,” says Gerry Lemieux, president of Britech (Toronto, Ont.), who will stay on for a year during the transition. “They are real gentlemen, and are keen on preserving what I have spent the last 20 years building.”

Britech specializes in heating cables (floor, concrete and snow melting), electric thermal storage heating and, self-regulating heating cables (roof and gutter de-icing).

Headquartered in L’Islet, Que., Ouellet designs, manufactures, distributes and markets standard and custom-made electric heating products.

“With this acquisition, we are demonstrating our commitment to growing and consolidating our relationship with our current customer base,” says Louis Beaulieu, Ouellet’s general manager. “It also allows us to continue offering quality products, innovative product design and industry-leading brands.”
