Prestige Telecom Inc. has announced that the company board of directors has appointed Michael Pesner as its new lead director. Pesner was appointed a director of Prestige in 2006 and is currently a member of the Corporate Governance and Compensation Committee, as well as a member of the Audit Committee.

The change signals the resignation of Martin Cauchon, who has served as
lead director on the board and chair of the Corporate Governance and
Compensation Committee since July 2007. According to Prestige, Cauchon
informed the directors of his decision in order to pursue his political
calling.

“The company wishes to thank Mr. Cauchon for his support throughout his
mandate as Lead Director. His guidance and involvement in the Company’s
activities were greatly appreciated and were beneficial for the
Company’s continuous development,” said Pierre Yves Méthot, chairman and
CEO of Prestige.

“We are also pleased with the appointment of Mr. Pesner as the new Lead
Director. His knowledge of our business and his professional skills will
allow him to successfully lead the Board of Directors in their duties,”
he said.
