Recognizing those “at the forefront of industry HR best practice and leadership” – 2021

April 28, 2022 – Electricity Human Resources Canada’s annual Awards of Excellence recognize and highlight “the outstanding achievements of those at the forefront of industry HR best practice and leadership”.

And, after having to reschedule from February, the 2021 Awards of Excellence were finally bestowed upon their deserving recipients. Congratulations to the following:

Innovation in HR Practices at an Educational or Training Institution – Presented by EHRC board member Bruce Harris, international representative at IBEW First District, to British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT), Smart Microgrid Applied Research Team (SMART).

Innovation in HR Practices at an Employer – Presented by EHRC board member Farah Alexis, vice-president of Talent & Culture at Hydro One, to Chris Polsinelli, director, HR Strategy & People Solutions at Hydro One.

Workplace Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Champion – Presented by EHRC board chair Kathy Lerette, senior vice-president, Business Transformation at Alectra, to Bruce Power. Accepted by Karen Smith, senior Human Resources leader.

Emerging Leader of the Year – Presented by EHRC CEO Michelle Branigan to Visha Gandhi, Ontario Energy Board.

Pandemic Response – Individual – Presented by Kathy Lerette to Aaron Del Pino, Ontario Power Generation.

Leader of the Year – Presented by Michelle Branigan to Thierry Miras, global vice-president Human Resources, Sustainability Business, at Schneider Electric.

Electricity Human Resources Canada is a non-profit organization supporting the human resources needs of the Canadian electricity and renewable energy sectors.
