June 19, 2014 – Schneider Electric and ChargePoint are collaborating to unveil EVlink cloud connected charging stations for electric vehicles (EVs); the offer includes hardware, software, ChargePoint connectivity and advanced services such as installation, deployment planning, project management and ongoing maintenance.

Using the cloud, data can be collected to analyze driver usage patterns by time intervals, station attributes or energy usage. In addition, station usage energy consumption, average turnover, and session duration, among other attributes can be tracked. Available in a pedestal and wall mount model, the charging station offers an LCD screen displaying charging instructions, status and usage fees, as well as real-time notifications informing drivers of the charging status. Drivers can access the free ChargePoint mobile app via iPhone, Android and Blackberry devices to locate stations, get turn-by-turn directions, view availability and make station reservations. Automated billing and transaction payment processing is available using a ChargePoint card or credit card.
