September 19, 2024 – Schneider Electric’s SureSeT medium-voltage switchgear offering includes the EvoPacT circuit breaker, and has been designed to address the needs for primary switchgear applications with “a smaller, stronger, and smarter solution capable of managing digital day-to-day operations”.

SureSeT offers remote access for monitoring, prediction, and documentation. In fact, embedded sensors detect problems earlier and predict potential issues based on real-time asset insights—maintenance is based on condition rather than service interruption.

The switchgear is 25% smaller than standard designs, says Schneider, and is built to last through 30,000 operations. SureSeT is part of Schneider Electric’s EcoStruxure open, interoperable IoT-enabled system architecture and platform, and is covered by “end-to-end” cybersecurity.
