SEEKING Historians and/or Crystal Ball gazers

May 10, 2014 | By Anthony Capkun

May 10, 2014 – For EBMag’s special 50th anniversary issue (July 2014), I’m asking you to help us write an article on the past and future of innovation in the electrical industry. You can answer here in the Comments section, or email EBMag’s associate editor, Alyssa, at adalton@annexweb.com (You can always get in touch with me, too!).

Question 1: Describe one advance in the electrical industry (test & measurement, safety, standards, equipment, etc.) over the last 50 years (or your time in the industry) that you feel truly revolutionized the industry.

Question 2: Describe one advance in the industry you see happening in the next 50 years that you feel will truly revolutionize the landscape.

Please bring your own unique perspective to this question. There is no right or wrong answer. And we only need about 100-200 words, as we are gathering opinions from people across Canada.

Thanks in advance, and feel free to SHARE THIS CALL with colleagues. We’d love to hear from everyone: contractors, engineers, apprentices, generators, T&D, inspectors, code bodies, etc. We need this info by May 30!
