TE Raychem compact elbow connectors for wind farms, data centres, and more

February 5, 2024 | By Anthony Capkun

February 5, 2024 – TE Connectivity says today’s modular, smaller switchgear units used in the power industry require space-efficient connectivity solutions. The TE Raychem ELBA asymmetric compact elbow connector promises to reduce stacking length by 40% thanks to their flexible, streamlined design.

This smaller footprint is complemented by increased range and installation flexibility. One standard body size can cover up to 1500 kcmil, making it possible to use a single unit rather than two.

This is TE’s first compact connector compatible with smart voltage-detection systems to be certified to IEEE 386-2016, making it suitable wind farms, data centres, solar farms, underground power networks, and other facilities where space is tight. Customers can choose the configuration best suited to their specific needs.
