VIDEO – How do you tip a Mercedes Sprinter? You don’t

June 10, 2011 | By Anthony Capkun

Electrical Business’ automotive Expert-At-Large, Gerry Malloy, was invited to attend the Mercedes-Benz “Sprinter on Tour” program when it stopped in Toronto. (As a member of the Automotive Journalists Association of Canada—and a regular contributor to the Toronto Star, Gerry knows his wheels!)

Anthony Capkun, Editor of EBMag, was there to capture the action, especially the tests involving Sprinter’s Adaptive ESP (Electronic Stability Program). Adaptive ESP is designed to help a driver maintain control of the vehicle and intervene automatically when the vehicle detects a potential issue.

Where cars usually carry similar loads, the load in a van is always altering. Adaptive ESP adapts to the load continually, moving with the centre of gravity as loads vary, and adjusts to the specific load that is being carried. CLICK HERE to learn more.
