Wesco Canada to formally open its new Edmonton wire distribution centre

April 19, 2013 | By Anthony Capkun

April 18, 2013 – Wesco Canada announced it will formally open its new, fully functional 60,500-sf wire distribution centre on April 24, 2013, between 2 pm and 7 pm at 11616 186 Street NW, Edmonton.

Wesco says this new cable centre and warehouse reinforces its position as a leading provider of supply-chain solutions and an extensive stocking distributor of wire and cable products. Wesco says it has access to 175 key wire vendors and their 24,500 line items, with over 500 types of cable in stock. Key brands in inventory include Belden, General Cable, Southwire, Electro Cables, Draka and Nexans.

The new wire centre will support all Wesco western branches in Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba and Northeast British Columbia.

“Wesco in Canada remains committed to driving value for our customers at every level, and we are committed to higher fill rates everywhere to meet client demand,” said Vern Connell, regional VP Wesco Canada. “Adding a dedicated wire and cable facility just made total sense to our commitment to the West as we also add four new branches in Alberta with Calgary North [and] Peace River, and Saskatchewan in Estevan and Prince Albert.”
