Winona Forms LED luminaires promise 30-60% less energy usage

October 31, 2014 – Acuity Brands has introduced the Winona Forms LED architectural solutions from Winona Lighting, boasting a high-performance Form Analogous (FA) Optical System with energy-efficient design options.

According to Winona, the system is design-specific by form and source and distributes candela where it is most beneficial, achieving visual uniformity and eliminating component shadowing, pixilation and hot spots. The luminaires also claim to reduce energy consumption 30-60% less than comparable fluorescent fixtures. An additional 10-20% energy savings can be achieved through occupancy sensing and constant lumen management through the use of Acuity Controls’ nLight intelligence, adds the company.
