October 31, 2014 – Engineered Products Company (EPCO) says its T5 HD (heat dissipation) series tube guard with built-in heat sink will save installation time by eliminating the process of pre-rolling two heat sinks per tube guard.

“Our best-practice recommendation when using high output T5 lamps with tube guards has always been the use of a “heat sink” to aid in distributing excessive heat on both ends of the fluorescent lamp,” says president Jack Schuster. When combined with the vented end caps, the heat sink lowers the inside temperature of the tube guard by approximately 30F, adds the company.
