September 21, 2023 (UPDATED)* – ABB recently broke ground on a $16-million expansion for the Installation Products Division’s manufacturing facility in Pointe-Claire, Que., to “meet the growing needs of customers from coast to coast”.

“With our customer-first approach, this enables us to further innovate our products and manufacturing capabilities to meet the specific needs of the Canadian market,” said Matthias Heilmann, president, ABB Installation Products Division.

The expansion—which will double the production of plastic injection-moulded solutions—will create over 40 full-time jobs in the upgraded 65,000-sf facility to deliver the legacy Canadian brands that are produced by the Pointe-Claire facility, including Marrette wire connectors, the NuTek series of non-metallic thermoplastic boxes, and Snap-it plastic fittings.

The site also produces Carlon PVC products and other components used in a range of product lines.
