October 21, 2014 – Appleton has expanded its Powertite family of industrial plugs, receptacles and connectors with 30A and 60A non-metallic, corrosive-resistant plugs for use with UL 1686-C1 receptacles.

Designed to deliver reliable performance, the plugs are suitable for sewage plants, shipping docks, food and beverage processing plants, and other environments exposed to corrosives or severe weather. A dual-moulded locking ring boasts rigid plastic threads on the inside and a rubberized grip on the outside that lets users secure the plug to the receptacle, even while wearing gloves, says the company.
