October 21, 2014 – The 2015-17 BICSI board of directors election is complete, so congratulations to the new Canadian Region director, José Mozota, Ph.D., Legrand Canada’s national sales manager, Data Communications.

Mozota holds a doctorate in Chemistry from Ottawa University and speaks seven languages. In 2006, he was recruited into Legrand Ortronics (New London, Conn.) as international team director. In 2008, he was promoted to vice-president international sales & marketing and, in 2012, he transferred to Legrand Canada into his current position.

According to his election biography, Mozota “will keep doing what works”, which means the annual (or biannual, after review) Canadian conference, and four to six Region Meetings.

Mozota, along with the other new BICSI officers, will be officially inaugurated in February 2015 during the BICSI Winter Conference & Exhibition in Orlando, Fla. BICSI is a professional association supporting the information and communications technology (ICT) community with information, education and knowledge assessment.
