Caterpillar C175-16 EPA Tier 4 interim-certified diesel genset

July 19, 2012 – The Cat C175-16 diesel generator set from Caterpillar has been certified to meet U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Tier 4 interim emission standards. This 60 Hz package—rated at 3000 ekW to 3100 ekW for standby and mission-critical power; 2725 ekW to 2825 ekW at prime power; and 2500 ekW to 2600 ekW at continuous power—promises fuel efficiency and lower emissions in a compact footprint. With the addition of the C175-16, Caterpillar boasts it offers the widest range of Tier 4 Interim-certified gensets in the industry, ranging from 455 kW to 3100 kW. Available with a range of factory-designed and -tested attachments, the C175-16 offers flexible packaging options for easy installation and optimal performance. Cat Tier 4 interim generators can be integrated into larger power systems that include the complete line of Cat power equipment, such as line interactive flywheel UPS, double-conversion battery UPS, paralleling switchgear and automatic transfer switch products.
