Chromalox CXH-XD explosion-proof electric blower heater

November 14, 2014 – Chromalox says its ATEX-certified, extreme-duty CXH-XD blower heater withstands corrosive and wet environments, extending the capabilities of the company’s CXH-A/EP models, which provide primary or supplementary heating for comfort or freeze protection in hazardous locations.

The CXH-XD’s enhancements include a corrosion-resistant coated heat exchanger, optional 316 stainless steel and epoxy-coated frames. Chromalox boasts the unit also includes the industry’s first IP66, corrosion-resistant and washdown-rated fan motor, making it suitable  in industrial settings such as onshore and offshore drilling platforms, pump houses, power generating stations, water and waste water plants, and more. The CXH-XD comes with power ratings from 3kW to 35kW, which provide heat outputs up to 119,420 btu/h, and individually adjustable louvers to provide targeted heat.
