Cisco delivers Network Convergence System to power Internet of Everything
January 8, 2014 | By Alyssa Dalton
January 8, 2014 – Cisco describes its Network Convergence System (NCS) as a network fabric family designed to serve as the foundation of a massively scalable, smarter and more adaptable Internet.
The NCS extends, connects, controls and responds to applications, networks and data centres by managing and moving network and compute resources whenever they are needed across the architecture in real-time, over a system built for petabit scale. According to the company, the system seizes the opportunity created by trillions of programmable device-driven events generated by the Internet of Everything (IoE).
