October 1, 2016* – By reworking the technology, refining airflow paths and reducing turbulence, Dyson engineers say the latest-generation of Airblade hand dryer runs 30% quieter and costs 28% less to run than its predecessor.

The Airblade V protrudes 4 in. from the wall and requires no recessing. The machine is quieter, Dyson says, because the size of the slots where the air exits the machine has been reduced from 0.8 mm to 0.5 mm, a redesigned impeller, and a reprogrammed Dyson digital motor V4, tuned to 1000W (compared to up to 1400W previously) to draw less air overall through the machine.

The Dyson Airblade V is available in white for $899.99 and nickel for $949.99, and is available starting October 1, 2016. All factory parts on Airblade hand dryers are guaranteed against original defects in materials and workmanship for five years.
