There have been a couple of changes at E.B. Horsman & Son in British Columbia. Tyson Carvell has accepted the position of Lower Mainland district manager effective February 1. Carvell worked for E.B. Horsman from 2002 to 2005 in its Process, Automation and Control Group.

In 2005 he accepted a national position with Siemens Canada, managing the Industrial Control Product group. In doing this job, Carvell had direct reports across Canada, had responsibility for developing national sales and marketing initiatives and collaborated globally to define products and pricing for Canada.

Meantime, Javi Richmond has moved to the distributorship’s head office in the newly created VP Sales role, also effective February 1. Richmond joined E.B. Horsman as customer development manager in 2006 after time spent in Western regional management roles with Weidmuller and Phoenix Contact.

In 2009 Javi took on the role as Lower Mainland district manager, working closely with Rob Baker (commercial sales manager), Al MacDougall (industrial sales manager) and Mick Westcott (projects manager), to grow the company’s presence in the Lower Mainland. As VP of Sales, Richmond will contribute to the strategic direction of British Columbia’s sales regions.
