The BC Electrical Association Women’s Network is hosting its next THRIVE Summit April 20, 2023, in Langley.

(The first THRIVE Summit [Think, Help, Relate, Inspire, Validate, Equity] was organized in 2019 but, of course, the pandemic delayed its return.)

“[BCEA’s] Women’s Network started back in 2015 by a small group of women wanting to make an impact and support diversity within the electrical industry,” explains the association.

The full-day event features the following speakers:

• Lindsay Benard, senior corporate trainer, Dale Carnegie Training BC
• Tara Sudbury, manager, Community & Workplace Education, Canadian Mental Health Association
• Diamond Isinger, provincial commissioner, Girl Guides of Canada
• Allison Straghan, president/owner, Code Electrical Products
• Jenny Sparkes, BC division manager (Process Instrumentation), EB Horsman & Son

Sessions will tackle topics such as:

• Advancing women in leadership
• Industry journey & experiences
• Equity, diversity & inclusion
• Skills to building resilience
• Volunteer & mentorship
