September 20, 2013 | By Anthony Capkun

September 20, 2013 – InfoElectro (published by Electro-Federation Canada [EFC]) reports congratulations are in order for EECOL’s Darren Buium, who assume leadership of the distributorship as president, effective October 1, 2013. Congratulations!

Darren brings 34 years of company experience to his new role. He started with EECOL in Regina as a truck driver, reports InfoElectro, and has worked in many areas of the company since then, including inside and outside sales, branch manager, regional sales manager and region manager.

Tom Crist, current president, will hand over the reins to Darren, thereby concluding his 43+ years with the company. Tom joined EECOL in 1970 in the warehouse, and worked his way up to president (2007).

Darren will report directly to Harald Henze, Group vice-president and general manager of Wesco Canada, which reported its acquisition of EECOL back in October 2012.
