Sean Grasby appointed EECOL Canada president

EECOL Canada has announced the appointment of Sean Grasby as its new president. Sean comes to the role from Xperigo, where he served as president and CEO. In this role, he was responsible for running all facets of the business, which dealt with creating innovative mobility products and services to automotive partners and their customers.

Sean has 20 years of experience across a variety of industries and has a proven track record of developing strategies, aligning objectives and driving growth of businesses. As the leader of Xperigo, Sean successfully transformed its business through developing key strategies and executing them diligently.

Sean has a B.Sc. degree from the New York Institute of Technology and an MBA from Ivey School of Business. Prior to his work at Xperigo, Sean held senior management positions at Acklands-Grainger where he led the transformation of the Customer Solutions group. He serves on the Board of Directors of the Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO) and is a founding Board member of the Global Assistance Alliance.

Sean succeeds Darren Buium, who has announced his retirement from EECOL Canada effective Feb. 1, 2020. Darren has been with EECOL Canada for his entire, four-decade career, and according to Nelson Squires, SVP and chief operating officer of WESCO International Inc., has held almost every position at the company in that time.

“He embodied and strengthened the EECOL culture and prided himself in meeting the needs of EECOL’s customers the ‘EECOL Way,'” said Squires. “All of us are heavily indebted to his vision and commitment for propelling EECOL to its present position in the industry. his work has ensured EECOL’s success well into their next 100 years.”
