November 20, 2012 – Hendrix Wire & Cable is describing its new Hendrix Spacer Cable Systems as top space-saving solutions for substations. The spacer cable reduces right-of-way requirements at substation exits, allows more efficient use of limited space in substations, and provides increased reliability on the critical feeder circuits at substation exits, says the company. According to Hendrix, the spacer’s long leakage distance resists flashovers, the close phase spacing minimizes voltage drop, and the unique design provides high short circuit strength.
