Lighting Science Group Corp., a manufacturer of LED-based lighting, has hired Tom Benton as VP professional sales. He will play a role in managing existing commercial and industrial customer accounts, and pursuing new ones. He reports to Ted Russ, Lighting Science’s chief business development officer.

Prior to joining Lighting Science, Benton worked for 14 years at Cooper Industries, serving most recently as VP marketing for the wiring devices division.
