Exfo Electro-Optical Engineering Inc. recently officially changed its corporate name to “Exfo Inc.”. (Considering we—and likely others—have always just called them “Exfo”, it’s business as usual.)

The company says it opted to change its name for simplicity’s sake and
branding purposes. Management believes the name “Exfo Inc.” is better
suited to the range of business activities in which the company is
either currently involved or may become involved. The deletion of the
words “Electro-Optical Engineering” is deemed appropriate, says Exfo, as
the company is no longer solely focused on the needs of installers and
operators of fiber optic networks.
