Panasonic OLED modules boast 85% reduced energy usage

August 7, 2012 – Panasonic claims its new OLED (organic LEDs) lighting modules reduce energy use by up to 85% compared to mini halogen lighting fixtures, while offering the world’s highest level of colour rendering at Ra90. The 9mm x 11mm fixture can be individually dimmed to create a controllable lighting environment. The modules will be marketed in North America by Universal Lighting Technologies, a member of the Panasonic family of companies.
