December 5, 2015 | By Anthony Capkun

December 5, 2015 – Pat Sullivan, president of Panasonic Lighting Americas Inc. (PESLA), will retire after nearly 40 years in the lighting industry. His successor is Mark Verheyen.

Sullivan spent the last 14 years of his career as CEO of Universal Lighting Technologies, as well as the president of Panasonic Lighting (which operates both Universal Lighting Technologies and Douglas Lighting Controls).

“We will celebrate Pat’s lifelong commitment to the industry and wish him well as he transitions into an enjoyable retirement,” said Chris Holstein, Universal’s VP of marketing.

Mark Verheyen, meantime, possesses more than 25 years of lighting experience, says the company, with 13 years within the Panasonic Group. Verheyen joined Panasonic Lighting as of December 1, and Sullivan will remain in an advisory role for a smooth transition.
