Samsung offers DIY video security and surveillance systems for homes and SMEs

Samsung Techwin America, a supplier of video surveillance products, unveiled a line of consumer security products for homes and small businesses. Available in 4, 8 or 16 channels, the systems include a DVR with storage capacities ranging from 500 GB to 1 TB. The new Samsung DIY Security Systems feature OmniView, the company’s proprietary software enabling small- and medium-business owners to manage a number of systems at multiple geographic locations simultaneously from a single user interface. They also feature QuickConnect, which automatically configures the system with a wireless network to enable remote viewing via PC or smartphone. The security line includes both box and dome hi-res cameras with night vision capability up to 40 feet, IP66 design and options for wireless or audio capabilities.
