Schneider Electric Square D Model III package unit substation

Schneider Electric revealed its Model III package unit substation for healthcare facilities, data centres and industrial environments where limited space is a concern. The Model III footprint is 48-in. deep by 62.75-74.75-in. wide by 90-in. tall with a total weight of less than 8000 lb. It contributes to LEED certification, says Schneider, with improved power losses and better voltage regulation. It allows for expansion because you can add new load areas without affecting the substation. The front-accessible units can be installed against a wall or in a corner without de-rating, and each has been built to UL safety requirements.
