The
Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers (SCTE) has announced its call for papers deadline for the technical sessions at this year’s SCTE Cable-Tec Expo in Atlanta, Ga., which runs from Nov. 14–17.

The Expo 2011 Program Committee, chaired by Suddenlink CTO Terry Cordova, will review all technical proposals. The committee is particularly interested in abstracts addressing the topics outlined in the call for papers. Proposals addressing the specific topics described there will be given priority, but other topics will be considered.

The deadline to submit proposals is Friday, June 10.

The call for papers can be accessed in the Events section of www.scte.org or by clicking HERE.

SCTE has said that proposals should address today’s technical and engineering issues and opportunities from a here-and-now perspective. Abstracts must be tailored for workshop learning and provide real-world tools that attendees can apply to their everyday work.

The general subject categories, outlined in full detail in the call for papers, are:
• Engineering
• Technical Operations
• Plant Operations
• Facility Operations
• Business Services

Questions regarding the Expo Call for Papers can be directed to EXPO_info@scte.org or Glenda Calcaterra at 610-594-7323.
