SLS Lighting Bruce Howitt steps down – Brian Poole succeeds

January 21, 2010 | By Anthony Capkun

Bruce Howitt stepped down as president and CEO of Vancouver, B.C.’s SLS Lighting. Brian Poole, current general manager, is Howitt’s successor.

Howitt founded SLS Lighting in 1985 with since-retired partner, Dave
Young. Now, after a 43-year career in the lighting industry, Howitt
will transition into his retirement as a consultant for SLS and assist
with the succession period. Due to Howitt’s long-term strategic
planning, Poole and his fellow partners—Roy Leininger, Glenn Pacé and
Ching Wee—feel they are “eminently qualified to continue the growth and
success of the company”.
